Island Windscreens Membership Terms and Conditions of use
Island Windscreens Membership Program
Effective Date: 31/01/2025
Not Applicable to Autoglass Customers.
1. Membership Tiers and Fees
Our membership program offers three tiers of benefits, available as monthly or annual subscriptions:
1.1 Basic Plan:
£5.99 per month or 59.99 annually
1.2 Premium Plan:
£12.99 per month or £129.99 annually
1.3 Prestige Plan:
£19.99 per month or £199.99 annually
All prices include VAT and are subject to change with prior notice, as specified in clause 7 below.
2. Membership Term
2.1 Flexible Monthly Subscription: Memberships are offered on a rolling monthly basis and can be cancelled at any time with 30 day’s written notice, as specified in clause 6.
2.2 Annual membership subscription:
• Annual memberships require full payment upfront and are non-refundable, except during the cooling off period outlined in clause 5.
• Annual memberships provide continuous access to benefits for 12months from the date of purchase.
2.3 Service Usage in the First 12 Months:
• If you have used any glass replacement or repair services under your membership within the first 12 months and cancel your membership, you will be liable for the full 12-month cost of the selected membership tier.
• This ensures fair usage and helps maintain competitive pricing for all members.
2.4 Automatic Renewal: Memberships:
• Renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled in accordance with clause 7.
• Annual memberships will automatically renew
3. Membership Use and Eligibility
3.1 Individual Use: Memberships are non-transferable and apply to the registered individual and vehicle as specified at the time of registration.
3.2 One Vehicle Only: Each membership applies to one vehicle only. You must register the vehicle at the time of signing up, and membership benefits will be limited to the registered vehicle.
3.3 Vehicle Changes: If you wish to transfer the membership to a different vehicle, you must notify us in writing, and approval is at the company’s discretion. Any vehicle changes will be free of charge.
3.4 AutoGlass customers referred to Island Windscreens: as Island windscreens are an offshore agent of AutoGlass And works on behalf of AutoGlass Membership benefits can not be applied to these Customers and can only be applied to Island windscreens customers.
4. Limitations on Use
4.1 Glass Repair or Replacement Limits:
• Basic Plan: Members are entitled to up to one glass repair or replacement per year.
• Premium Plan: Members are entitled to up to two glass repairs or replacements per year.
• Prestige Plan: Members are entitled to up to three glass repairs or replacements peryear.
4.2 Additional Repairs or Replacements: Any additional glass repairs or replacements exceeding the annual limits for your plan will be charged at standard rates.
4.3 Service Year: The annual entitlement resets every 12 months from the date of membership activation. Unused repairs or replacements do not roll over to the following year.
5. Vehicle Glass Replacement Eligibility
5.1 Valid Vehicle Glass Replacement Criteria: Vehicle Glass replacement under the membership is only valid for the following types of damage:
• Cracked: If the vehicle glass has developed a crack that cannot be repaired.
• Failed Repair: If a previous repair has failed and the damage cannot be resolved with further repairs.
• Damage Beyond Repair: If the damage to the vehicle glass exceeds repairable limits as per industry standards.
• Remove and Refit Failure: If a remove and refit procedure is attempted but is unsuccessful due to irreparable damage or complications.
5.2 Proof of Damage: The company reserves the right to inspect the damage and determine whether the windscreen is eligible for replacement under the criteria stated in clause 5.1.
6. Excess Payment
6.1 Maximum Excess Contribution: As part of your membership, we will cover your insurance excess for glass replacement or repair up to a maximum of £125.
6.2 Terms of Excess Payment:
• Excess Payment applies only to invoices being submitted to your insurance company for glass replacement or repair.
• The excess amount will be deducted directly from your invoice at the time of service.
• If your excess exceeds £125, you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance.
• The cover of excess payment by Island Windscreens will apply only if you are insured by one of the following insurers unless agreed with Island Windscreens.
• Tower
• CTH
• Kestrel
• Blackfords
6.3 Proof of Insurance: You must provide valid proof of insurance.
7. Payment Terms
7.1 Payment Method: Subscription fees are payable monthly in advance via PayPal Subscriptions.
7.2 Failed Payments: If a payment is not successfully processed, your membership benefits may be suspended until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
7.3 Refund Policy: Fees paid are non-refundable, except as required by law or during the cooling-off period specified in clause 8.
8. Cooling-Off Period
8.1 Your Right to Cancel:
• You have the right to cancel your membership within 7 days of subscribing without incurring any charges.
• If you cancel within this period and no services have been used, you will receive a full refund.
• If you cancel within this period and services have been used, you will be liable for clause 2.3
9. Cancellation Policy
9.1 Cancellation After 7 Days (Monthly Memberships):
Monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time by providing 30 days’ written notice.
If you cancel after using services under the membership within the first 12 months, you will be liable for the full 12-month cost of your selected tier, as specified in clause 2.3.
9.2 Cancellation of Annual Memberships:
Annual memberships are non-refundable once the cooling-off period has expired, except as required by law.
9.3 Company-Initiated Termination: The company reserves the right to terminate your membership for breach of these terms and conditions or misuse of membership benefits.
10. Changes to Membership Terms
We reserve the right to modify membership fees, benefits, or terms. Any significant changes will be communicated to members with at least 30 days’ notice. Members may cancel their membership without penalty if they do not agree to the changes, provided they notify us within the 30-day notice period.
11. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the membership fee paid. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential losses arising from membership use or inability to use the services.
